For the last week or so, Sonnystone has sunk into the graycold monotony of January. Casey’s work on the laundry room has kept him occupied. I have whiled away my hours planning gardens, trips, and dinners, reading and playing.
Until! a couple of days ago, I got so excited to see that Eville is actually going to have a Sister March…well, not exactly a Sister March, but an inauguration day march. It will not be particularly protesting anything, but will be affirming a commitment to “Liberty and Justice For All”. I’m for that. There will be a Fair down at the library with over 20 groups represented. I’m so excited to join with folks who share my hope that All of Us, Everyone, can respect and support each other as we strive for equality and inclusion.
You’ve all heard my mantra of Peace, but it is especially fitting on this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, to pledge to do more than talk about it, or march about it. As we join hands, we must join our hearts to the cause of Peace, to lend our hands to the organizations that promote Peace, and to lift up the folks who need the touch of Peace. Because, actually, all you need is Love; give Peace a chance. (tee-hee)
