What a fortuitous beginning to BirthdayFest 2014:  I “won” tickets to the Gov’t Mule concert.  Actually, Sister and I met up for some birthday appetizers at Backstage, my personal favorite bar in EVV.  As the manager was serving our food, I said, “hey, why didn’t I win those tickets yesterday?” and he said, “you want some?”  and I got ’em.  ( I also had a great visit with Donna)

I really love this band, with their Allman Bros. roots and Dead-esque style.   We were appropriately buzzed…

We’ve slept it off, now, and we’re ready to start again on a Beautiful Sunny Day..!  I really am God’s little pet….
