october 31—not just halloween, not only reformation day, but also the 15th anniversary of the day my daughter moved Away…not to NYC, like you might expect…but to West New York, New Jersey……

that’s about 10 minutes from the very Hoboken, New Jersey that I’m looking at on TV—pictures of flooded, blown-apart devastation…

i remember looking at the skyline as i waited for the bus to take me across the lincoln tunnel to the port authority at about 35th? 36th?   south of that bus stop is dark now, underwater in some spots…

as relieved as i am that the casa at 102nd between 1st&2nd is okay…this ..still..gets to my heart…

in the 15 years since melissa left college for nyny, i’ve seen the landscape change, but…but…this is just…what can i say..

i’m very proud of my daughter and the home she and her husband have established for their daughters; i Love New York City…

But it is occasionally  heart-breaking…
