now it’s time…

to say good-bye to all our company….

M-I-C  (see ya real soon)  K-E-Y (why?  because We Love You!)  M-O-U-S-E

one last fill-up of the refillable mug and we’re off…taking the magic with us, memories of my family all being together, believing that Dreams Really Do Come True.

let the fun begin…

we’re all here…the whole famn damily…ready to take The World…especially eliza belle who has mastered the zombie walk:

tomorrow is magic kingdom day and luncheon with the princesses at cinderella’s royal castle…you should appreciate that i made those reservations 6 months ago to the day ( the day after christmas).  i am my own travel agent, folks.

our first trip here was in 1983, a trip planned with the aid of library frommers and fodors.  we stayed at a holiday inn and only went to magic kingdom (epcot had opened just the fall before). we were here the first year they opened MGM (1990) and animal kingdom (1998).   our pictures of these vacations show us all growing up and now we’ve started with the grandkids.  i know we share this passion with millions, but we’ll start planning our next visit as we’re packing to go home.  some say it’s exhausting, but after 9 trips  we know how to do it all without breaking a sweat…and if this rain keeps some people at home, we’re fine with that…more room for us.

on the road again…

And we’re off again…this time with the casey jrs. packed in with us.  we’ll stop tonight and cruise into WDW tomorrow noon, meeting up with the jose’ fam.

i know it’s supposed to rain, but we are hard-core, die-hard Disney Lovers and we Really Don’t Care…  we’ve been to wdw in cold, hot, wet, and dry and we always have a great time.

see ya’ real soon…

sleepover hangover

i gotta tell ya:  i’m worn out, exhausted, and just plain tired.  i’m also riddled with chiggars, dirty, and a little greasy.   But we had a great time!!

starting with supper…

followed by a hayride…

after donning pajamas, we roasted marshmallows for s’mores…

mmm…

then to bed for some movies…

they were awake waaayyy tooo late and olivia bounced up this morning at 6:30am anyway…she’s like an alarm clock with no snooze button…

i haven’t even Begun to get ready for the trip…must do laundry, clean fridge, make arrangements for watering, pack, load up the car…you get it.  we’ll be leaving tomorrow morning as early as we can, so we’d like to get ‘er done today and Go To Bed Early Tonight… a nap would be nice, too.

moving toward the grand finale…

after shopping at toys r us and the mall, we headed home for some seriously sweet artwork:

around suppertime, we had company…

party on, ladies…

2 more days…come on by tomorrow evening for a cook-out…  you’re All invited…

helpers

grandpa (pawpaw) knows the best way to entertain the children…he has them help him…

we are putting all of our containers under the trellis garden while we’re on vacay…always making Learning Play, he had the girls help him move the plants…

after a day at burdette and a nice supper, the girls are still co-operating…don’t you wish the whole world worked together like these?

friend debbie answered my open invitation to visit and brought along some garden ornaments for emma to paint…

it Is an Open Invitation…nothing i’ve planned has gone right so far, so just call and/or come by through saturday…

sometimes it’s the little things…

we were back at the zoo today…walking the part that we missed yesterday, riding the bumper boats, and can a girl feed the giraffes too much???  i think not…  after a nice dinner at the casey jrs.  we readied ourselves for bed and fixed a customized bedtime-sundae-snack…

that’s vanilla ice cream, hot-chocolate powder, strawberry syrup, strawberries, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, 1 grape, 1 blueberry…  makes sweet dreams.
