i did a lot of gardening early today whilst waiting for the wow-dude to come and fix my dvr box. then we went out and checked out a baby grand that needs a good home…
if you know me at all, you know that i’ve always wanted a grand piano. i would settle for a baby grand since that would actually fit in my home, but there is nothing finer than playing a grand piano. it’s just…well, fulfilling? anyway, friend debbie e. called the other day with news that a baby grand was available for the right price. it’s a 1933 stroud, inherited by the owner from her grandmother; however, she doesn’t really play. they refurbished it about 20 years ago, but only tuned it 3 times since..! it does sound a bit off, but another tuning would probably make a big difference. i’m going to call the guy who restored it and recently tuned it and see what he thinks, but i’m pretty sure it’s going to be Mine…
…
I love reading your blog. Kinda reminds me Garrison Keillor’s “Prairie Home Companion”. Anyway, you are a gem. Didn’t realize all your talents way back when..and your grandchildren are priceless!!!
